KBR launches INSITE 3.0, powered by Orbital

KBR has launched INSITE 3.0, the new version of its digital delivery platform, built with Applied Computing and powered by Orbital.

INSITE 3.0 adds an AI adviser for industrial facilities where safety and reliability are critical. It combines Orbital with KBR’s design, operations and advisory experience, and is grounded in physics rather than general-purpose language models, so its root-cause analysis is traceable and its recommendations repeatable.

“This is a true game-changer for the industry,” said Dan Jeavons, President of Applied Computing. “INSITE 3.0 integrates Orbital with the decades of data and deep engineering expertise that have been a hallmark of KBR.”

About Applied Computing

Applied Computing builds AI for energy operations. Its product, Orbital, is built on a world model for energy that combines physics-grounded intelligence with models across chemical engineering, time-series forecasting and language. Orbital provides real-time optimisation that operators can trust in the most complex environments, from refineries and petrochemical facilities to LNG, wind and hydro. Founded in London by Callum Adamson (CEO) and Dr Sam Tukra (Chief AI Officer), Applied Computing is already working with some of the world’s most complex industrial sites. In July 2026, the company raised a $20 million Series A led by KBR, with participation from Databricks Ventures.
